Special 2-Day Fundraising Class for Arts Benicia: Tea Sets! Sat & Sun, Sept 26 & 27, 12-3pm --------- Join us for a VERY SPECIAL 2-Day fundraising class and come create your own beautiful pottery tea set! Profits will go to support Arts Benicia’s Gala: A Night in Venice. This very important Benefit for Arts Benicia will offer a heap of fun & fellowship and supports the arts in our area. This specialty class will be led by Terrie Tate and Amy Stellato from Happy Life Pottery but will be hosted at Arts Benicia located at 1 Commandant’s Lane in Benicia. The class is two days: Saturday, September 26th & Sunday, September 27th, 12-3pm on both days. For this class, we will start by teaching you how to shape the body of your teapot and then adding a spout, handle, and customized top. You will also be able to create 2-4 cups for your set. Please join us for this special class to learn some new skills, create something beautiful, and support an awesome cause! The final step/customization is selecting a glaze before you leave class from the options that we provide, which we'll apply for you after the first firing. After your project is complete, it will need to be dried, fired, glazed, and then fired again. This is about a 4 week process, and we'll reach out to via email when your project is ready for pick up. Price for this two-day class is $150 (all inclusive: clay, tools, instruction, glazing, firing, etc). No experience required. Ages 12+
